  • Comprehensive knowledge of principles of Hydraulic structure design and structural engineering design in areas of bridges, high-rise buildings, telecommunication and overhead water-tank towers, etc. using steel, concrete and composite materials.
  • Construction Supervision. In addition, a first-hand understanding of Engineering Business, Marketing, Client relations & Project Management.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Will be responsible for providing technical support in the planning, design, and construction of rehabilitation, repairs, and/or expansions of existing water/wastewater treatment plants, distribution/collection systems, and pump/lift stations design solutions.
  • Will perform hydraulic modeling using a variety of programs.
  • Will design perform the Layout and design flow elements of both water and wastewater treatment plants.
  • Will serve as the QA/QC reviewer or technical advisor on projects.
  • Ensure project compliance with all AIM practices and quality and safety standards.
  • Facilitate coordination for timely completion and submission of project deliverables.
  • Developing data analysis and developing deliverable reports.
  • Designs and construction supervision of other hydraulic engineering projects for control and use of water: Computes and estimates rates of water flow.
  • Designs and coordinates construction of artificial canals, conduits, and mains to transport and distribute water; and plans reservoirs, pressure valves, and booster stations to obtain proper water pressure at all levels.
  • Experience interpreting hydraulic schematics and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with mechanical and electro-hydraulic valves and applicable control systems.
  • Experience with Hydraulic Simulation.
Reporting:
  • Timely submission of the report for review to the GMD
Education: and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the related field
  • Proficiency in hydraulic modelling software and CAD tools
  • Strong knowledge of hydrology, fluid mechanics, and open channel flow.
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Membership or eligibility for registration with professional bodies such as COREN, NSE, or equivalent.
