## Title: Human Resources Officer
About the Role
Skipper Eye-Q Hospital is recruiting a Human Resources Officer to join our team in Lagos, Nigeria. We are seeking a professional with excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and a comprehensive understanding of employment legislation. The successful candidate will combine strategic and commercial insight into labor processes with strong organizational abilities and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare job descriptions and advertise vacant positions, managing the complete employment process
- Orient new employees and coordinate training programs for existing staff
- Monitor and evaluate employee performance
- Ensure employees are well-organized and satisfied in their work environment
- Oversee health and safety compliance for all employees
- Implement systematic staff development procedures
- Provide counseling and guidance on organizational policies and procedures
- Manage payroll and benefits administration with meticulous attention to detail
- Communicate with staff regarding performance-related issues and organizational matters
- Maintain accurate and complete employee records in both electronic and digital formats
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in human resources
- Knowledge of employment legislation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Full understanding of HR functions and best practices
- Strong ability to engage in meaningful negotiation and conflict resolution
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional training or certification in Payroll Management
- CIPM (Chartered Institute of Personnel Management) certification
- Experience as a Skills Development Facilitator
