## Title: HR Officer

About the Role

Health Care Development Focus Initiative (HECADF) is seeking a passionate and committed HR Officer to join our growing team. Reporting directly to the Program Manager, you will provide vital support to our human resources management operations. This role is ideal for a motivated individual seeking to gain professional HR experience in a dynamic nonprofit environment, contribute to community impact, and advance their career.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in recruitment processes, including drafting job descriptions, posting vacancies, and screening applicants
  • Maintain accurate staff records, contracts, and personnel files
  • Support onboarding, induction, and training of new staff and volunteers
  • Ensure compliance with HECADF HR policies, safeguarding policies, and relevant labor regulations
  • Coordinate staff welfare, performance management, and leave administration
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical HR practices at all times
  • Contribute to the improvement of HR systems and policies to meet organizational growth needs
  • Perform other administrative and HR-related tasks as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Experience in HR or administrative roles (volunteer or paid)
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Basic knowledge of Nigerian labor law, HR principles, and safeguarding standards
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
