HSE Officer

A reputable organization seeks a dedicated individual for this role. Location: Epe, Lagos State Key Responsibilities: - Implement and enforce HSE policies, procedures, and site-specific safety plans - Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments - Identify hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions - Ensure compliance with local HSE legislation and industry standards - Deliver toolbox talks, safety inductions, and HSE training - Investigate incidents, near-misses, and accidents and prepare reports - Maintain accurate HSE records and documentation - Promote a strong safety culture among employees, subcontractors, and visitors - Liaise with project teams, management, and regulatory authorities as required Required Qualifications: and Requirements: - Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field - Professional HSE certification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent) - Minimum of 2-3 years of HSE experience in the construction industry - Strong knowledge of construction safety practices and regulations - Excellent communication and reporting skills - Ability to work independently and on-site - Proficiency in MS Office and basic reporting tools
