Job description

We are seeking an experienced professional for this opening. Position Overview: As the Human Resource Executive, you will support our HR department by managing day-to-day HR operations and contributing to the development and implementation of HR strategies. The role focuses on talent management, culture development, employee engagement, and efficient HR processes across the company. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain calendars, schedules, and agendas for the People Team.
  • Oversee the daily operations and administrative activities of the People department.
  • Update and maintain personnel records, including employee directories, staffing information, absences, leave applications, benefits, training records, and performance evaluations.
  • Support the recruitment process by posting job ads, screening and shortlisting candidates, administering tests, scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks, preparing employment contracts, and sending rejection emails.
  • Prepare new employee files and coordinate the full onboarding process for new hires.
  • Support employee relations by helping manage grievances, facilitating communication, and promoting a positive work environment.
  • Respond to employee inquiries about HR policies, benefits, and general HR matters.
  • Assess training needs and help plan and implement training and development initiatives.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure sensitive HR information is properly protected.
  • Prepare and submit HR reports covering general HR activities and data updates.
  • Organize and coordinate learning sessions, events, workshops, seminars, and team-building activities.
  • Monitor the People Team’s budget and ensure HR activities and programs align with Redwire’s culture and values.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support HR strategy and operations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in an HR generalist, HR officer, HR executive, or similar HR role.
  • Good understanding of HR operations, Nigerian labour law, and standard HR practices.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and familiarity with HR systems or databases.
  • High level of confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism.
