## Title: Health, Safety & Environment Officer

Role Summary

The HSE Officer ensures compliance by implementing HSE policies, conducting inspections, identifying risks, and fostering a safety-first culture through training and ongoing operational monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compile and implement safety programs
  • Identify and mitigate risks within the organization
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and site
  • Implement and maintain health and safety standards
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations
  • Conduct regular toolbox meetings to share best practice techniques
  • Standardize health and safety procedures to ensure consistency
  • Identify hazardous waste and ensure correct disposal
  • Compile and maintain relevant compliance registers
  • Document staff information, meeting minutes, and reports for management
  • Ensure technicians wear correct PPE at all times
  • Monitor technicians and their adherence to safety protocols
  • Establish cordial and professional relationships with employees
  • Practice and promote safe working techniques

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or HND qualification
  • 3–5 years of relevant work experience
  • Certification in HSE, ISO, and NEBOSH (preferred)
