Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Head of Sales & Marketing to lead our coal export business, driving revenue growth, market expansion, and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will develop and execute strategic sales plans, build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders, and stay ahead of market trends.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to optimize company capabilities, attract new opportunities, and retain current customers in the local and export coal market
• Create innovative initiatives to achieve revenue and margin targets, monitoring service levels and ensuring customer satisfaction
• Oversee contract preparation, price and deal negotiations, and ensure compliance with company standards and import/export regulations
• Build and maintain key relationships with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams to align with Group strategy
• Coach and manage sales teams, identifying areas for improvement and recommending solutions
• Analyze market trends, identify new business opportunities, and recommend price and rate reviews
• Represent the company at industry-specific conferences, visit customers, and seek new markets and opportunities
• Ensure compliance with import/export regulatory laws, managing relationships with local customs brokers and authorities as needed

Required Qualifications

• First Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline
• 7 - 12 years proven experience in sales and marketing leadership, preferably in the coal or mineral industry
• Strong understanding of export business and market dynamics
• Excellent project management, negotiation, and communication skills
• Ability to think strategically and develop comprehensive marketing strategies
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including PowerPoint and Excel

• MBA qualification
