Head, Sales and Growth - Payments

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive sales and distribution strategy to maximize opportunities and define approach for direct sales and account retention across agents, merchants, mobile users, cards, and digital revenue streams
• Plan, implement, and manage sales initiatives to achieve overall revenue and profitability targets
• Identify new business opportunities including new markets, growth areas, and partnerships; build plans to launch and scale operations in line with financial services compliance guidelines
• Recruit, train, and mobilize high-performing sales and growth teams; manage sales budgets, commissions, incentives, and field operations
• Oversee entire sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-up on leads, negotiation, and deal closure
• Build strategic partnerships with value chain stakeholders, FMCGs, aggregators, cooperatives, and enterprise merchants
• Work closely with product, marketing, and delivery teams to align customer needs with company capabilities and develop targeted campaigns
• Lead field teams through forecasting and performance analytics; monitor and review sales performance by analyzing reports and key performance indicators to guide future strategies

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Business or Finance
• 8+ years of experience in fintech or mobile money sector
• Proven track record of successful financial services sales, preferably within fintech sector across mobile, POS, merchant, or agency segments
