About the Role

A leading large-scale rice milling and processing plant in the north-central region seeks a highly skilled and results-driven Head Rice Miller to oversee and optimise all milling operations. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will oversee the entire rice milling process, ensuring paddy is efficiently processed into high-quality rice.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate rice milling operations to achieve maximum yield and quality
• Supervise and train mill operators and technical staff
• Implement preventive maintenance plans for all milling machinery and equipment
• Monitor production efficiency, minimise wastage, and ensure compliance with quality standards
• Prepare and present production and inventory reports to management
• Manage and comply with health, safety and environmental regulations
• Establish food safety policies and implement procedures

Requirements

• City & Guilds of London Advanced Certificate in Milling or HND/B.Sc. in Mechanical, Agricultural, or Food Engineering
• Proven experience of 10+ years in rice milling operations, preferably in a large-scale facility
• Knowledge and application of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP)
• Knowledge of rice paddy quality analysis
• Strong leadership, technical, and problem-solving skills
• Good knowledge of modern milling machinery and quality standards
