About the Role
We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Head, Project Advisory. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for leading and managing the Bank's transaction advisory function, ensuring the development, structuring, and execution of bankable infrastructure projects.
The Head, Project Advisory will provide strategic guidance and assurance to the Executive Leadership and Board on project viability, risk management, ESG compliance, and alignment with the Bank's mandate for sustainable economic development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Project Advisory team to identify, develop, and execute bankable infrastructure projects
- Oversee project preparation, feasibility studies, structuring, and financial modeling
- Ensure ESG, climate resilience, and regulatory compliance are embedded in all projects
- Structure and negotiate PPPs, private-sector investments, and blended finance solutions
- Supervise legal and commercial documentation, including term sheets, concession agreements, and loan documents
- Drive business development and origination of new infrastructure advisory mandates
- Mentor staff and promote knowledge-sharing, training, and thought leadership initiatives
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Law, Engineering, or related fields
- 12–15 years of relevant experience in project finance, infrastructure advisory, and PPP transactions within banking, DFI, or advisory sectors
- At least 7 years in a leadership role
- Professional certifications such as CFA, ACCA, ACA, PMP, PRINCE2, or FRM
- Specialized project finance or PPP training (e.g., Euromoney, APMG PPP Certification) is advantageous
