Head of Treasury at Boctrust Microfinance Bank

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Head of Treasury to lead and grow our savings deposit portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to attract and retain savings customers, ensuring excellent customer service, and achieving set growth targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve and exceed savings deposit growth targets
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for new savings products and service enhancements
• Manage and mentor a team of savings deposit officers, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback
• Implement and monitor effective sales and marketing campaigns to attract new savings customers
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies related to deposit mobilisation
• Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and proactively address their needs and concerns
• Develop and implement customer retention strategies to minimise attrition
• Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) related to savings deposits and investment, providing regular reports to senior management
• Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, product development, and customer service, to ensure a seamless customer experience

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Banking and Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in banking, with a focus on investment, deposit mobilisation, and management
• Proven track record of achieving and exceeding savings deposit growth targets
• Strong understanding of the Nigerian financial market, regulatory landscape, and competitive environment
• Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives
