About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated senior executive to lead our Technical Services function. The Head of Technical Services is responsible for overseeing the performance, integrity, and efficiency of all operational power generation assets. This role leads the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) functions, ensuring maximum plant availability, strict regulatory compliance, and the implementation of best-in-class asset management practices. The focus is on driving day-to-day operational excellence and long-term asset health.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage operations and maintenance teams across multiple power generation sites
- Develop and implement robust preventive and corrective maintenance programs
- Ensure plant availability, reliability, and performance in line with industry benchmarks
- Oversee asset integrity, spare parts management, and technical procurement processes
- Enforce compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
- Coordinate technical audits, inspections, and reporting to internal and external stakeholders
- Support expansion projects, upgrades, and technical feasibility assessments
- Provide strategic input to executive leadership on operational planning and capital investments
- Manage the O&M budget, control operational expenditures, and identify opportunities for cost optimization and energy efficiency improvements
- Represent the company in industry forums, technical committees, and stakeholder meetings
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Power Engineering (Master's Degree is advantageous)
- 7–10 years in power plant operations and maintenance, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role
- COREN registration and certifications in HSE, PMP, or ISO standards are advantageous
