## Title: Head of Sales and Business Development

About the Role

Join a fast-growing Microfinance Bank and lead the charge in driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and building strong client relationships. This role offers the opportunity to shape the bank's sales direction and accelerate business expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales and business development strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets
  • Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to drive consistent high performance
  • Identify new markets, strategic partnerships, and profitable customer segments
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to enhance retention and growth
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to inform sales strategy
  • Oversee the development of sales pitches, proposals, and presentations
  • Establish and track key performance metrics for sales team effectiveness
  • Collaborate with product, marketing, and operations teams to align business development initiatives
  • Drive customer acquisition campaigns and implement cross-selling and up-selling strategies
  • Conduct regular sales reviews, forecast revenue, and report performance to executive leadership
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies within sales activities

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field
  • 5–8 years' experience in sales or business development (preferably in financial services)
  • Proven track record of meeting sales targets and leading successful sales teams
  • Strong strategic thinking, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Ability to build and sustain high-value client relationships

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary: ₦700,000 – ₦750,000/month (Net)
  • Health Management Organization (HMO)

  • 13 months salary
