## Title: Head of Programs and Operations
About the Role
An established organization is recruiting for a Head of Programs and Operations position to provide overall leadership and coordination for project implementation across target locations.
Work Locations
- Madagali, Adamawa State
- Gwoza, Borno State
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership, coordination, and technical guidance for project implementation across both target Local Government Areas (LGAs)
- Supervise program and operations teams to ensure efficiency, accountability, and compliance with organizational and donor standards
- Ensure all project activities are implemented on time, within budget, and with measurable impact
- Strengthen partnerships and collaboration with government authorities, community stakeholders, and other humanitarian actors
- Oversee logistics, procurement, and financial operations in collaboration with Finance and Procurement units
- Ensure effective monitoring, reporting, and documentation of all project activities
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continual learning among project staff
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (B.Sc.) in Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related discipline
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in program or operations management with an NGO or humanitarian organization
- Proven experience managing multi-sectoral teams and donor-funded projects
Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, coordination, and report-writing abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Fluency in English and Hausa
- Knowledge of local languages in target communities is an advantage
Additional Requirements
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently to project sites and work in remote areas
