An established company is recruiting for the following position.
Position Overview:
- The Head of Procurement is responsible for overseeing and managing the organization’s procurement strategy, processes, and activities to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality acquisition of goods and services. The role ensures compliance with company policies, supports operational efficiency, and drives value through strategic sourcing and vendor management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Oversee sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing of goods, materials, and services.
- Manage supplier relationships, including evaluation, selection, and performance monitoring.
- Ensure cost optimization while maintaining quality and delivery standards.
- Review and approve purchase requests, purchase orders, and contracts.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with finance, operations, and project teams to support business needs.
- Manage procurement budgets and monitor expenditure.
- Identify risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
- Lead, train, and supervise procurement team members.
- Prepare and present procurement reports to management.
Required Qualifications:
& Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., CIPS, CIPSMN) is an added advantage.
- Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, with leadership responsibility.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
- Good understanding of contract management and sourcing best practices.
- Proficiency in procurement systems and Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
