Job description

The Role - The Head of Operations will provide strategic and operational leadership across all non-academic departments, including Facilities, IT, HR, Security, Cleaning, Administration, Catering, and Medical Services. Reporting to the Executive Leadership / Head of School, the successful candidate will ensure cohesive strategy, robust compliance, and operational excellence across both campuses. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and coordinate all non-academic operational functions across multiple campuses. - Develop and implement operational policies, SOPs, and service standards aligned with the school’s mission. - Oversee campus development projects, maintenance, procurement, and vendor management. - Drive operational excellence through metrics, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives. - Ensure regulatory compliance across safety, HR, immigration, and facilities management. - Manage budgets, contracts, service-level agreements, and risk mitigation measures. - Promote cross-departmental collaboration to support student learning, staff wellbeing, and operational efficiency. - Coordinate school-wide logistics, events, and mobility processes for students and staff. - Support long-term infrastructure and capital development planning. The Candidate We are seeking a dynamic, solutions-oriented leader who: - Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred). - Demonstrates strong organisational, problem-solving, and leadership skills. - Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to influence across departments. - Is proficient with Microsoft 365, reporting tools, and operational dashboards. - Possesses experience in multi-department operations, procurement, vendor management, and project implementation. - Has experience within an international school, hotel group, or campus-based organisation (desirable). - Understands Nigerian regulatory requirements (H&S, labour, immigration, insurance) and international school standards. - Is collaborative, professional, and committed to safeguarding, staff development, and operational excellence.
