Job Overview

VIP Express Tourism Limited is seeking a skilled and strategic Head of IT to lead the organisation's technology operations, drive digital transformation, and ensure the security, reliability and efficiency of all IT systems. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong technical expertise, excellent project management capabilities and a demonstrated ability to align technology initiatives with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the organisation's overall IT strategy
• Oversee and manage all IT operations, infrastructure and systems across all office locations
• Ensure cybersecurity protocols, data protection, and compliance with relevant regulations
• Lead and mentor the IT team, ensuring high performance and continuous development
• Manage IT projects, including upgrades, integrations and new technology rollout
• Maintain and optimise hardware, software, network systems and IT assets
• Coordinate with departmental heads to identify technology needs and opportunities
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for IT services and equipment
• Prepare and manage the IT department budget
• Ensure timely resolution of IT support issues and maintain SLA standards

Key Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 6 years progressive experience in IT, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructures, networking, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and enterprise systems
• Proven experience leading IT teams and managing large-scale projects
• Excellent problem-solving skills, communication and strategic thinking
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
• Professional certifications (an added advantage)
