Head of Financial Control (FinCon) at Beacongate Limited

About the Role

Beacongate Limited is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Financial Control (FinCon) to lead its finance team. The ideal candidate will oversee financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and strategic planning to ensure the organization's long-term financial health and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial operations, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Ensure full compliance with CBN, NDIC, and FRCN financial reporting standards
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Develop and implement effective internal controls, accounting policies, and risk management frameworks
• Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making
• Supervise and mentor the finance team to ensure high performance and accountability

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline
• Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, or CPA) is mandatory
• Minimum of 6–10 years' experience in financial control, audit, or finance management within a Microfinance Bank or Financial Institution
• Strong understanding of CBN regulations, MFB reporting standards, and financial risk management
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills
• Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems
