Head of Finance

The Role

• We're seeking a Head of Finance to lead our financial strategy, operations, and planning as we scale from pre-launch through rapid growth. You'll own all aspects of finance including FP&A, accounting, treasury, compliance, fundraising, and investor relations. This is a leadership role reporting directly to the CEO, with responsibility for building the finance function and ensuring we have the financial infrastructure, controls, and insights to support aggressive growth in a regulated industry.

• You'll be a key strategic partner to the CEO and executive team, providing the financial rigor and analytical frameworks to guide critical business decisions as we scale to thousands of concurrent transactions and significant revenue.

What You'll Do Financial Strategy & Planning:

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes across the organization

• Develop financial models for business scenarios, unit economics, and growth projections

• Own P&L management and drive financial performance against targets

• Build comprehensive financial reporting and analytics frameworks

• Provide strategic financial guidance to CEO and board of directors

• Monitor key business metrics (CAC, LTV, retention, burn rate, runway) and provide insights

Fundraising & Investor Relations:

• Lead financial aspects of fundraising rounds (seed, Series A, and beyond)

• Prepare investor materials including financial models, cap tables, and data rooms

• Manage investor reporting and board materials

• Build relationships with current and prospective investors

• Support valuation analysis and deal structuring

Financial Operations & Controls:

• Establish robust accounting systems, controls, and processes for financial transactions

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations including AP, AR, payroll, and reconciliations

• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and compliance

• Manage cash flow, treasury operations, and banking relationships

• Implement financial systems and tools to support scaling operations

• Lead annual audits and tax filings

Gaming & Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with Nigerian gaming financial regulations and reporting requirements

• Manage gaming license financial requirements and regulatory reporting

• Oversee player funds segregation and trust account management

• Implement anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) financial controls
