Position Overview:
- We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Head of Engineering to lead Engineering operations, oversee technical projects, and ensure optimal performance of equipment, systems, and Engineering teams.
- The role is responsible for driving operational efficiency, safety, cost control, and continuous improvement while aligning Engineering activities with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, plan, and manage all Engineering and maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment uptime and operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs
- Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of plant machinery, utilities, and infrastructure
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and statutory requirements
- Lead, mentor, and develop Engineering and maintenance teams
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards
- Build a strong safety culture and ensure toolbox talks and training are conducted regularly
- Manage Engineering projects from concept to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and vendor coordination.
- Review technical designs, drawings, and specifications
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards
- Prepare and manage Engineering budgets and control maintenance costs
- Drive cost optimization through efficient resource utilization and process improvements
- Manage spare parts inventory and vendor contracts
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reliability, and energy efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline)
- Minimum of 8+ years’ experience in Engineering/maintenance roles, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity
- Strong knowledge of maintenance systems, utilities, and industrial equipment.
