Head of Corporate Banking at Venerer Talent

About the Role

Our client is seeking a Head of Corporate Banking to lead the strategic direction, growth, and performance of the Corporate Banking department. In this senior leadership position, you will build and manage high-value relationships with mid-sized and large corporates, overseeing the origination and execution of bespoke lending, trade finance, and structured credit solutions.

This role requires strong business acumen, deep market insight, and a proven ability to drive revenue growth while ensuring credit quality and regulatory compliance. You will work closely with executive management to shape product offerings and identify new opportunities that align with client needs and the Group's overall growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead business origination efforts and build a robust pipeline of mid-to-large corporate clients across key target sectors
• Develop and execute sales and relationship strategies to grow market share and client wallet
• Structure, negotiate, and present credit facilities tailored to client needs
• Review and approve credit proposals, ensuring alignment with the Bank's credit policies, risk limits, and compliance requirements
• Present and defend Corporate Banking credit applications to the Credit Committee
• Supervise and mentor relationship managers and account officers within the Corporate Banking unit
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (risk, legal, operations, treasury) to ensure timely and seamless deal execution
• Champion cross-selling of the Group's full suite of products and services to drive group-wide value creation
• Ensure strict adherence to KYC, AML, and other regulatory requirements
• Maintain strong client relationships and represent the company in public and private sector engagements
