## Title: Head of Construction and Delivery
About the Role
We are seeking a talented and experienced construction project manager to head the construction and delivery team in Nigeria. You will oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion across Lagos and Abuja (Jigna), ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards. This role requires a willingness to work in an intense and demanding workplace setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage construction projects from start to finish, ensuring successful completion
- Lead, manage, and monitor the construction and delivery team for all projects, including self-perform projects and EPC contractors (and subcontractors)
- Ensure all projects are delivered safely, on time, and in accordance with specifications and quality requirements
- Plan, schedule, and oversee construction projects across all phases
- Manage and lead construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors
- Ensure construction staff are competent and possess the required abilities for their roles
- Optimize utilization of resources, labor, and materials; oversee procurement
- Develop project objectives and goals; assign and coordinate team member responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards
- Monitor project progress and address issues that arise
- Prepare status reports with updated cost and planning forecasts
- Review and approve project budgets, expenditures, and timelines
- Coordinate with the procurement department to ensure timely equipment and goods delivery to site
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project success
- Review and evaluate plans; set performance requirements
- Coordinate the efforts of all parties involved in projects
