Job Summary

The Head of Legal and Compliance is a senior executive responsible for overseeing the organization's legal affairs and ensuring regulatory compliance across all operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all legal matters including contracts, disputes, and corporate governance
• Provide strategic legal advice to executive leadership and the board
• Manage external counsel and litigation strategy
• Review and approve major agreements and partnerships
• Ensure adherence to local and international laws and regulations
• Develop and maintain comprehensive compliance programs and policies
• Monitor regulatory changes and assess impact on business operations
• Lead internal audits and investigations
• Identify legal and regulatory risks
• Implement risk mitigation strategies
• Oversee whistleblower programs and ethics frameworks

Required Qualifications

• Law degree (LLB and MSc in Law)
• Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
• 10–12+ years of legal experience, preferably with corporate or regulatory focus
• Strong knowledge of industry regulations
• Demonstrated leadership and strategic decision-making skills
