## Title: Head of Finance & Accounts

Position Overview

An established manufacturing company based in Nnewi, Anambra State is seeking a Head of Finance & Accounts to lead the finance and accounting function. This role is responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial data, optimizing manufacturing costs, and maintaining strong financial controls. You will convert complex factory operations into accurate financial insights that drive profitability and support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct the preparation of timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS
  • Manage Month-End and Year-End closing processes, ensuring all reconciliations are completed within the corporate calendar
  • Serve as the liaison for internal and external auditors to ensure clean audit reports
  • Oversee costing systems, ensuring accurate valuation of Raw Materials, Work-in-Progress (WIP), and Finished Goods
  • Analyze Production Variances (material, labor, and overhead) and collaborate with Plant Managers to implement corrective actions
  • Implement and monitor robust Inventory Control procedures, including cycle counts and annual physical verification
  • Optimize the Cash Conversion Cycle by streamlining Accounts Receivable (collections) and Accounts Payable (vendor terms)
  • Prepare detailed weekly and monthly Cash Flow Forecasts to ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs and capital expenditure (CAPEX)
  • Monitor credit risk and approve credit limits for major distributors and institutional clients
  • Lead the annual Budgeting and Forecasting process across all manufacturing departments
  • Perform Break-even Analysis and Margin Analysis by product line to identify low-margin items for phase-out or price adjustment
  • Evaluate the financial viability of proposed capital investments
