## Title: Head Chef - Mai Shayi Coffee

About the Role

Mai Shayi Coffee seeks a dedicated and experienced Head Chef to oversee all kitchen operations in our Lagos location. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, and cost efficiency while leading and developing our kitchen team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all kitchen operations and ensure adherence to food quality and safety standards
  • Manage food and overhead costs while maintaining budget compliance through proper use of standard operating procedures and recipes
  • Monitor daily stock levels and ordering patterns to ensure food quality and freshness
  • Conduct regular food safety and hygiene audits to maintain the highest standards of kitchen cleanliness
  • Train and develop kitchen staff on food production, quality standards, and proper procedures
  • Supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficiency and optimal branch labor utilization
  • Ensure all menu items are produced on time using correct recipes and are available for sale
  • Maintain proper record-keeping and bookkeeping for kitchen operations
  • Provide clear and timely communication to the kitchen team and management
  • Monitor guest feedback and address food quality concerns promptly
  • Guide the kitchen team on quality and timely food production to ensure guest satisfaction

Required Qualifications

  • Certificate or Diploma in Food and Beverage Production from a recognized institution
