Head Accountant

An established company is recruiting for the following position. Position Overview: - We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Head of Accountant to lead the accounting function of the organization. - The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance, providing strategic financial guidance, and supporting management decision-making. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee and manage all accounting and financial operations of the organization. - Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and management accounts. - Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax regulations, and accounting standards. - Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning. - Supervise and mentor accounting staff to ensure accuracy and efficiency. - Coordinate internal and external audits and implement audit recommendations. - Monitor financial performance and provide strategic insights to the CEO. - Ensure proper financial controls and risk management procedures are in place. - Maintain accurate financial records and documentation. - Liaise with banks, auditors, tax authorities, and other financial stakeholders. Required Qualifications: & Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. - Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) is an added advantage. - Minimum of 6 years relevant work experience in accounting or finance, with leadership exposure. - Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, and regulatory compliance. - Excellent analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills. - High level of integrity and attention to detail. - Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office tools. - Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
