## Title: Head of Account and Finance

About the Role

This position offers a great opportunity for career growth. You will have full responsibility for the financial operations of the organization, overseeing accounting, budgeting, treasury management, and financial reporting functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce monthly management accounts with full responsibility for accuracy and timeliness
  • Review and approve all reconciliations and schedules including bank statements, accrued charges, and prepayments
  • Prepare monthly budgetary control reports and performance analyses
  • Develop and prepare the overall annual budget including assumptions and financial ratios
  • Perform financial control functions, treasury management, and monitoring activities
  • Follow up on budget implementations and departmental limits; investigate variances between budget and actual performance
  • Prepare budget and financial plans with forecasting
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing monthly and quarterly reports for the Board, Shareholders, and Regulatory bodies
  • Oversee staff payroll preparation, vetting, and implementation
  • Develop and manage liquidity management tools
  • Conduct periodic financial audits and recommend improvements
  • Develop financial policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive financial statements for future reference
  • Monitor and manage expenses within established budgets
  • Implement a structured and robust Finance department
  • Coordinate with External Auditors for regular account audits
  • Perform other functions as assigned by the CFO, Head of Operations, and Group Managing Director

Minimum Educational and Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or HND in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related Social Sciences field
  • MBA in Finance is preferred
  • Professional Certification from ICAN
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant post-graduation experience
  • Excellent team management skills
  • Dynamic approach with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
