Hair Stylist

Position Overview: - We are looking for a creative and experienced Hair Stylist (Braider) to join our beauty team. - The ideal candidate will be skilled in a variety of braiding techniques and committed to delivering exceptional hair care and styling services. - This role requires a passion for hair artistry, attention to detail, and excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities: - Create and style various types of braids (e.g., box braids, cornrows, knotless braids, twists, feed-in braids, etc.) - Consult with clients to understand their preferences and recommend suitable styles - Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of tools, equipment, and workstations - Ensure scalp care and proper hair preparation before braiding - Apply hair extensions, beads, and other accessories as requested - Educate clients on hair maintenance and aftercareStay updated on current hair trends and techniques - Manage appointment schedules and walk-in clients efficiently Required Skills: - Proficiency in multiple braiding styles and techniques - Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - Ability to work quickly and efficiently without compromising quality - Good sense of style and creativity - Knowledge of hair care products and scalp health Education: & Certification - Minimum of SSCE/WAEC or equivalent - Certification or training in hair styling or cosmetology is an advantage - Health and hygiene training is preferred. Experience: - Minimum of 1–2 years of hands-on experience in braiding and hair styling - Portfolio of previous work is highly desirable. Other Requirements: - Must be punctual, reliable, and well-groomed - Friendly and respectful demeanor - Willingness to work weekends and holidays - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Passion for beauty and client satisfaction. Remuneration - Competitive salary (N60,000 - N80,000 monthl) or commission-based pay (negotiable based on experience) - Tips and performance bonuses - Opportunities for professional development and training.
