About the Role

We are seeking a qualified professional to join our team as a Group Life Underwriting Officer. In this role, you will manage the complete lifecycle of group life insurance policies, from quotation through claims settlement, while maintaining accurate records and supporting our sales objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare group life quotations for prospective clients
• Prepare and process policy documents for new clients
• Conduct medical underwriting assessments
• Register new business on Turnquest system
• Process claims settlements in conjunction with the Claims & Benefit Unit
• Maintain and manage the Group Life Database Portfolio
• Settle broker and agent commissions
• Provide client services and maintain client records
• Prepare renewal notices and group life insurance certificates
• Input daily transactions into Turnquest Database
• Manage broker relationships and communications
• Prepare weekly and monthly production reports
• Prepare NAICOM monthly reports
• Upload transactions to EDMS system
• Coordinate unit schemes and support the sales team in achieving targets

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• 6–12 years of relevant experience in group life underwriting or insurance
