Ground Support Equipment Technician (Electrical)

Position Overview

The Ground Support Equipment Technician will perform all maintenance tasks on ground support equipment in accordance with OEM approved documentation and in compliance with Air Peace and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair aircraft ground support and industrial equipment and associated electrical and electronic controls
• Read, interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and electrical code specifications
• Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance
• Maintain, repair, test, and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries, and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems
• Conduct preventative maintenance programs
• Install, maintain, and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices
• Conduct general electrical maintenance
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering (minimum)
• At least 3 years of ground support equipment maintenance experience
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals
• Knowledge of aviation legislation and regulations
• Proficiency in computer applications
• Knowledge of human factors application
• Welding knowledge (preferred)
