Graduate Drilling / Well Engineer at Benel Energy Resources Limited

About the Role

Benel Energy Resources Limited seeks a dedicated Graduate Drilling Engineer to join our team in Lagos. This role offers an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to develop their engineering expertise in drilling operations and well design within a reputable organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform offset well analysis
• Prepare Basis of Design documentation and oversee technical execution of programs
• Perform casing and tubing design using company engineering software
• Prepare Well Drilling Programs and Operations Readiness reports
• Develop well operations procedures, including casing running and cementing procedures
• Prepare well time estimates and AFE (Authorization for Expenditure) documents
• Participate in the selection and evaluation of service companies, suppliers, and equipment
• Ensure effective communication with clients, internal segments, and third parties
• Participate in cost control activities, analyzing solutions versus AFE and optimizing well design
• Perform cost-benefit analysis on well design alternatives
• Participate in safety activities and HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment) programs
• Prepare End of Well reports and ensure lessons learned are captured and incorporated into future basis of design and drilling programs

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Technical degree in Engineering or Physical Sciences
• Maximum of 3 years work experience (recent graduates welcome)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to learn and acquire new skills quickly
• Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental compliance in the workplace
• Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams with strong communication skills
• Strong project management skills, including task prioritization and deadline management
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and documentation abilities
