In this role, you'll bring history and current affairs to life while fostering informed, engaged citizens.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach History, Civic Education, and Government courses to college-level students
• Develop engaging lesson plans that cover historical periods, political systems, and civic duties
• Facilitate discussions on current events, governance, and social issues
• Teach critical thinking, research, and analytical writing skills
• Prepare students for examinations and assessments
• Create assignments that encourage historical inquiry and civic engagement
• Use diverse teaching methods including debates, case studies, and primary source analysis
• Evaluate student performance through essays, projects, and examinations
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and academic progress
• Participate in departmental meetings and school activities
• Stay current with curriculum requirements and educational standards

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Government or related field
• Teaching certification or qualification in Government
• Strong knowledge of historical events, political systems, and governmental structures
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to engage and motivate college-level students
• Good classroom management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Government or related field
• Experience with various teaching methodologies and assessment techniques
• Passion for politics and civic education
