## Title: General Manager, Finance & Accounts
Job Purpose
We are seeking a highly skilled General Manager with a strong background in agriculture and banking or financial management to oversee our business operations, ensure fiscal health, and lead strategic growth initiatives.
The General Manager will be responsible for:
- Increasing shareholder value by optimizing financing structures and costs, instituting and maintaining prudent and professional management of all projects, financial and currency risks, liquidity, cost, earnings, and cash availability
- Overall responsibility for the short- and long-term funding of the business and advising management and relevant board committees on the best funding options that ensure high value and ongoing concern for the company and shareholders
- Management and control of the organisation's financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis
- Providing accurate, timely financial and business information including statutory requirements, which generate insights into company performance for the delivery of board-approved targets
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Lead a world-class Finance and Accounts department of international standard that supports the short- and long-term goals of the company and shareholders
- Direct the development and implementation of strategies that meet the company's financing needs while supporting the achievement of financial objectives, including minimization of financing expenses
- Oversee the evaluation of business scenarios based on quantitative analysis
Relationship & Stakeholder Management
- Maintain external relationships and networks that increase the image, standing and effectiveness of the organization with local banks, financial institutions, and government agencies to ensure long-term financial viability
Operations Management
- Direct and oversee various activities related to the management of corporate cash, borrowings, mergers and acquisitions, private equity and investments, joint venture partnerships, and maintenance of banking relationships
