Position Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to support and enhance 2D/3D seismic and wellbore acquisition programs across the company. You will interface with operating groups, other technical specialists, and vendors to provide 2D/3D seismic and borehole seismic survey acquisition solutions that safely meet organizational goals and commitments. This role may also include serving as a Formation Evaluation Specialist.

Main Responsibilities

In addition to Level 1 and 2 responsibilities, Level 3 responsibilities include:

• Post-stack and pre-stack seismic inversion and AVO analysis
• Seismic attribute analysis to define structural and depositional environment/facies
• Carbonate interpretation and analysis
• Application of geophysics to unconventional plays

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in Geotechnical or Geophysical Engineering
• Previous experience in a closely related position
• Strong geology and geophysical interpretation skills
• Advanced petrophysical analysis skills in siliciclastic settings
• Proficiency in computing applications (Geology & Petrel)
• Strong knowledge of local petroleum geology
• Experience interpreting gravity and magnetic data
• Sound knowledge of seismic processing and seismic acquisition operations
• Strong structural geology background with experience in all tectonic systems, geologic environments, and reservoir types
