Job Summary
West Africa Vocational Education (WAVE) seeks a goal-driven General Manager with strong hands-on leadership and strategic oversight capabilities. The successful candidate will manage daily operations, oversee budgets and procurement, lead departmental teams, and ensure member experiences reflect the organization's values of confidentiality, professionalism, and family-friendly excellence.
The General Manager will drive performance, maintain financial discipline, and cultivate a positive, accountable workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations and ensure operational efficiency across all departments
- Oversee budgets, procurement, and financial discipline
- Lead and develop departmental teams while fostering professional, respectful, and high-performance work culture
- Monitor budgets, track expenditures, and authorize operational purchases
- Manage staff deployment, scheduling, and facility readiness workflows
- Oversee event management and major functions
- Analyze operational reports, identify variances, and implement corrective measures
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards
- Handle customer service issues and difficult situations with professionalism
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Proven experience in multi-department management, ideally in hospitality, club, or service-based environments
- Demonstrated success managing budgets, procurement, and operational efficiency
- Strong understanding of operational workflows, scheduling, and staff deployment
- Knowledge of health, safety, and regulatory compliance standards
- Experience in event management and oversight of major functions

Compensation and Benefits
- Monthly salary: N650,000 - N1,000,000
