Furniture Technician at Wells Carlton Hotel & Apartments

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Furniture Technician with hospitality industry experience to join Wells Carlton Hotel & Apartments in Lagos. You will repair, restore, and refinish furniture using specialized skills in woodworking and upholstery. Your work will range from full-scale restoration projects to minor damage repairs, manufacturing new pieces, and maintaining detailed work records.

Key Responsibilities

• Repair and restore damaged or worn furniture to original condition, addressing structural issues, scuffs, scratches, and performing touch-ups
• Apply paint, stain, and finishes to restore furniture appearance
• Assemble new furniture in-store or at customer locations
• Inspect furniture to identify problems and determine the best repair approach
• Communicate with clients regarding furniture needs and provide repair or replacement recommendations
• Maintain detailed records of repairs, materials used, and time spent on each project

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• 2–4 years of work experience in the hospitality industry

Specialized Skills

• Woodworking and upholstery expertise
• Proficient operation of hand tools and machinery (saws, drills, staple guns, etc.)
• Strong color matching ability to ensure seamless blending of repairs and finishes
