Full-Time Professor Position in MSc Data Science Program

About the Role

The Nigerian University of Technology and Management (NUTM) seeks a qualified and passionate Professor to serve in our MSc Data Science program. The successful candidate will have a strong academic background, a proven record of research and publication, and significant teaching experience at the postgraduate level. This position involves teaching, research, and service responsibilities, with a focus on contributing to the growth and development of the MSc Data Science program.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced courses in the MSc Data Science program
• Provide leadership in curriculum development, ensuring relevance to industry needs
• Mentor and guide postgraduate students in their academic and professional pursuits
• Engage in cutting-edge research and contribute to the university's research objectives
• Contribute to the academic community through committee work, program development, and other university service activities

Required Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a closely related field from a reputable institution
• Outstanding record of scholarly publications in top-tier journals and conferences
• Extensive experience in teaching and curriculum development at the postgraduate level
• Proven ability to mentor and supervise graduate students
• Active involvement in professional organizations related to Data Science
