FSL Officer at Ekklesiyar Yan'uwa a Nigeria (EYN PROJECT)

About the Role

The Food Security and Livelihood Officer will provide technical support for the implementation of the Food Security and Livelihood component in Borno State. This position operates at field level and serves as the line manager to field supervisors, providing job coaching, on-the-job training, and query management for subordinates.

Main Responsibilities

The post holder will receive a context-specific Terms of Reference for each deployment, which will draw upon the following responsibilities:

Programme Support

• Support field-level technical assessments in coordination with the FSL Coordinator, ensuring assessment findings are documented with specific analysis of children's needs
• Support field supervisors and assistants in community sensitizations to ensure beneficiaries are informed about the programme, their entitlements, and how to access support or channel feedback
• Supervise all field activities, including redemption of e-vouchers by beneficiaries at community and vendor locations
• Work with the FSL Coordinator to support timely project implementation and delivery of project activities
• Collaborate with the FSL Coordinator and other senior programme staff to support timely programme and donor reports on project activities in compliance with internal and external donor requirements
• Work with the Accountability Lead (M&E) to ensure accountability is enforced in all project activities and that feedback from beneficiaries and families is considered in project design and implementation
• Ensure minimum standards of humanitarian relief are maintained in accordance with the Sphere Charter and Red Cross Code of Conduct
• Provide ongoing support to field supervisors and assistants
