## Title: Front Desk Officer

Job Summary

The Front Desk Officer is the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and healthcare providers at St Dominic Catholic Hospital. This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing patient registration, scheduling appointments, and ensuring seamless communication between patients, families, and hospital staff.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Registration

  • Greet patients, visitors, and healthcare providers in a professional and friendly manner
  • Register patients, verify insurance information, and obtain necessary consent
  • Ensure accurate and complete patient demographic information

Scheduling Appointments

  • Schedule appointments for patients, ensuring timely and efficient scheduling
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers and other departments to ensure availability

Customer Service

  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries and concerns
  • Resolve patient complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist customers and patients with their transactions and reports

Communication

  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, healthcare providers, and hospital staff
  • Ensure seamless communication between departments and teams

Data Entry and Record-Keeping

  • Accurately enter patient information into hospital systems
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

Security and Emergency Procedures

  • Follow hospital security protocols and emergency procedures
  • Report any security concerns or incidents to management

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 1–5 years of experience in customer service, healthcare, or a related field
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of hospital management systems
