Food Technology Intern at Sonia Foods Industries

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Food Technology Intern to join our team in Ikeja, Lagos. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in food production, quality assurance, product development, and process improvement within a dynamic FMCG environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the production team in day-to-day operations and process monitoring
• Assist in quality control activities, ensuring products meet established standards
• Conduct basic laboratory tests on raw materials and finished products
• Participate in product formulation, sensory evaluation, and shelf-life studies
• Maintain accurate production and testing records
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in safety, quality, and efficiency
• Work closely with supervisors to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety regulations

Requirements

• B.Sc. or HND in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or a related discipline
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Must reside in or be willing to work daily from Ikeja, Lagos

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, ISO, GMP)
