About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Fireman to ensure fire prevention, protection, and emergency response across our manufacturing facility. In this position, you will monitor fire safety systems, conduct regular inspections, perform firefighting operations when required, and support overall safety awareness within the plant.

Key Responsibilities

Fire Prevention & Safety Monitoring

• Conduct routine inspections of fire extinguishers, hydrants, hose reels, sprinklers, and fire alarm systems
• Identify and report potential fire hazards within production, storage, and utility areas
• Ensure fire protection systems and firefighting equipment are in good working condition and ready for emergency use
• Assist in implementing preventive maintenance schedules for all fire protection systems

Firefighting & Emergency Response

• Respond promptly and effectively to fire alarms, emergencies, and rescue operations within the plant premises
• Operate firefighting equipment such as hydrants, hoses, extinguishers, foam units, and breathing apparatus safely
• Support evacuation procedures during emergencies and guide employees to assembly points
• Coordinate with local fire services and emergency response teams when needed
• Conduct or support periodic fire drills and mock evacuation exercises
• Educate employees on fire safety measures, proper use of extinguishers, and emergency response procedures

Professional Development

• Participate in continuous skill development on firefighting, rescue, and first-aid techniques

Supportive Duties

• Patrol high-risk areas, especially during hot work, welding, or maintenance operations
• Monitor the storage and handling of flammable materials and ensure adherence to safety protocols
• Participate in safety committee meetings and provide feedback on fire safety improvements

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: SSCE, OND, or Trade Test Certificate in Firefighting, Safety, or related discipline
• Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years in firefighting or fire safety roles
