Key Responsibilities

• Inspect properties for health and safety compliance, focusing on fire prevention and emergency preparedness
• Protect personnel during emergencies by extinguishing fires, executing rescues, and mitigating chemical spills
• Prevent fire damage by conducting surveys and inspections for hazards and enforcing codes
• Develop and conduct educational and training programs to prepare personnel to prevent fire damage
• Ensure availability of water at fire scenes by testing hydrants, requesting repairs, and verifying completion
• Minimize fire damage by responding to alarms, driving and operating equipment, regulating water pressure, and rescuing personnel
• Ensure proper operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements

Qualifications and Requirements

• OND or High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
• Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
• Proficiency in first aid and CPR techniques
