Job description

This vacancy presents a chance to join a leading organization. Position Overview:
  • The Architect/QA/QC Officer will be responsible for overseeing architectural design tasks while ensuring that all construction activities meet approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • The role combines architectural creativity with rigorous quality assurance and quality control responsibilities on-site.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare architectural drawings, working drawings, and construction details using AutoCAD, Revit, or other design software.
  • Develop conceptual designs, schematics, and layout plans for new and ongoing projects.
  • Review and interpret architectural drawings, and specifications for accuracy and completeness.
  • Participate in project planning, design presentations, and design coordination meetings.
  • Advise the project team on materials, finishes, and design alternatives.
  • Conduct site visits to ensure the project aligns with design intent.
  • Collaborate with structural, MEP, and other consultants to resolve design conflicts.
  • Ensure all designs comply with local building codes, zoning regulations, and safety requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the project Quality Assurance and Quality Control plan.
  • Conduct daily site inspections to verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and workmanship standards.
  • Monitor construction work at all stages: foundation, blockwork, concrete pours, steel works, roofing, finishes, etc.
  • Prepare QA/QC checklists and ensure adherence by contractors and site teams.
  • Review materials delivered to site and ensure they meet required standards and specifications.
  • Identify non-conformities, issue NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and ensure closure with corrective actions.
  • Maintain QA/QC documentation including inspection reports, test reports, and site diaries.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure quality standards are upheld.
  • Ensure all construction stages undergo proper testing and inspection (slump test, concrete cube tests, waterproofing tests, etc.).
  • Conduct weekly quality review meetings with the project team.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly architectural and QC progress reports.
  • Document as-built drawings and ensure proper filing of project documents.
  • Maintain a site photo log to record progress and quality compliance issues.
