About the Role
Balangu Lagos and WhooshNG are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Officer to join our growing teams. The ideal candidate will manage daily financial operations, support budgeting and reporting processes, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information across both businesses.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
- Prepare, analyze, and maintain accurate financial statements and reports
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes
- Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger entries
- Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and external regulatory requirements
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Support the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts
- Monitor expenditure vs. budget and provide variance analysis
- Advise management on financial performance and cost control opportunities
Cash Flow & Treasury Management
- Track daily cash flow and ensure adequate liquidity for operations
- Process payments, manage petty cash, and maintain treasury records
Financial Tools & Systems
- Utilize financial management tools for bookkeeping, reporting, and analysis
- Maintain and update accounting software and financial databases
- Generate automated reports using modern financial systems and Excel tools
Compliance & Audit Support
- Prepare documentation for internal and external audits
- Ensure adherence to tax laws, statutory filings, and financial regulations
- Maintain proper documentation and archiving of financial records
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years proven experience in a finance or accounting role
- Strong proficiency in financial management software and Excel
