## Title: Finance Officer
About the Role
Fort Knox Group seeks a dedicated Finance Officer to manage financial operations and provide strategic financial insights to support the organization's decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including Profit & Loss accounts, Balance Sheets, and Cashflow statements
- Manage daily financial operations, including payments, receipts, and reconciliations
- Develop, implement, and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial performance reports
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and promptly resolve discrepancies
- Maintain accurate record-keeping and proper documentation of all financial transactions
- Monitor cashflow and advise management on financial risks and opportunities
- Support internal and external audit activities and ensure full compliance with audit requirements
- Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and statutory regulations (FIRS, PAYE, VAT, WHT)
- Prepare management reports and provide financial insights to support decision-making
- Support procurement and expenditure control processes to ensure value for money
Required Qualifications
- HND or B.Sc Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years proven experience in a finance officer or similar role
Essential Skills & Competencies
- Strong financial analysis capability
- Proficiency in budgeting and forecasting
- Excellent cashflow management skills
- Strong financial reporting and reconciliation abilities
- Good understanding of tax laws and statutory compliance requirements
- High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel (advantageous)
