Finance Officer

We are looking for a qualified candidate to fill this position. Position Overview: - The Finance Officer will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, including budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance. - This role requires a strong background in finance and accounting, excellent analytical skills, and a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will ensure our financial practices are sound, transparent, and aligned with our strategic goals. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and manage annual budgets in collaboration with senior management. - Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and forecasts. - Monitor financial performance against budget and report variances. - Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and organizational policies. - Oversee accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions. - Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. - Coordinate with external auditors and prepare for audits. - Manage cash flow and oversee investment activities. - Implement and maintain effective internal controls and procedures. - Provide financial advice and insights to support strategic decision-making. - Collaborate with program managers to ensure financial alignment with project goals. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Finance / Accounting, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred. - Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in finance or accounting roles. - Previous experience working with a non-governmental organization (NGO) is required. - Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and regulations. - Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel). - Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
