Finance Manager, Reporting at Alfred & Victoria Associates

About the Role

We are seeking a Finance Manager – Reporting to lead our reporting functions and team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient financial strategies while maintaining full compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and applicable laws. You will play a key role in the effective management of company funds and financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting

• Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Complete and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations for CFO approval
• Ensure timely completion of high-quality monthly reports in compliance with monthly closing checklists and calendars
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports
• Lead the month-end and year-end close process
• Analyze general ledger accounts to identify costs that should be capitalized and included in fixed assets
• Review and monitor capitalization entries

Executive Support & Analysis

• Assist the CFO in preparing internal management reporting for Executive Management and the Board of Directors
• Provide financial analysis and support in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and projections
• Address ad-hoc analysis requests from the CFO as needed

Audit & Compliance

• Ensure timely completion of internal and external audits
• Respond to auditor queries and implement all audit recommendations

Fixed Asset Management

• Complete standardized forms to establish entries on the fixed asset register and asset management system
• Monitor reports to ensure assets are correctly entered into the fixed assets sub-ledger
• Record equipment transfers between departments
• Document equipment relocations, sales, disposals, thefts, and other losses
• Reconcile the fixed asset register and sub-ledger

Team Leadership

• Lead the reporting team to facilitate efficient strategies
• Accomplish department and organization objectives by completing related results as needed
