## Title: Finance Manager

Position Overview

This position offers a great opportunity for career growth within our finance department.

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

  • Develop and maintain financial models to forecast future performance
  • Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insightful commentary on variances
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  • Conduct variance analysis to explain differences between actual results and budget/forecast
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial strategies
  • Perform profitability analysis by product, customer, or segment
  • Evaluate investment opportunities and capital expenditure requests

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads
  • Develop and maintain budget templates and guidelines
  • Manage variance and monitor budget performance
  • Identify areas for improvement in budget execution
  • Prepare rolling forecasts to provide updated projections of future performance

Financial Reporting

  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting
  • Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and other accounting records
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards
  • Coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process

Internal Controls & Compliance

  • Maintain and improve internal controls to safeguard company assets
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting regulations and tax laws
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies

Team Leadership & Management

  • Supervise and mentor a team of financial analysts or accountants
  • Provide guidance and support to team members
  • Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs
  • Foster a positive working environment within the finance team
