## Title: Finance Manager
Position Overview
This position offers a great opportunity for career growth within our finance department.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Develop and maintain financial models to forecast future performance
- Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insightful commentary on variances
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Conduct variance analysis to explain differences between actual results and budget/forecast
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial strategies
- Perform profitability analysis by product, customer, or segment
- Evaluate investment opportunities and capital expenditure requests
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads
- Develop and maintain budget templates and guidelines
- Manage variance and monitor budget performance
- Identify areas for improvement in budget execution
- Prepare rolling forecasts to provide updated projections of future performance
Financial Reporting
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting
- Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and other accounting records
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards
- Coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process
Internal Controls & Compliance
- Maintain and improve internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting regulations and tax laws
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures
- Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies
Team Leadership & Management
- Supervise and mentor a team of financial analysts or accountants
- Provide guidance and support to team members
- Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs
- Foster a positive working environment within the finance team
