Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage all financial operations in compliance with organizational policies, donor requirements, and humanitarian standards.
  • Prepare, manage, and monitor project budgets, ensuring effective cost control and value for money.
  • Ensure accurate financial recording, reporting, and reconciliation using QuickBooks or other approved accounting software.
  • Produce timely and accurate financial reports for management, donors, and partners.
  • Ensure compliance with donor regulations (e.g., UN agencies, INGOs) and national financial laws.
  • Manage cash flow, bank accounts, and payment processes, including payroll, vendor payments, and statutory deductions.
  • Support audits (internal and external) and ensure timely resolution of audit queries.
  • Strengthen internal control systems and financial risk management processes.
  • Provide financial guidance to program teams to support effective project implementation.
  • Supervise and build the capacity of finance and support staff.
Required Qualifications: and Requirements 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Professional qualification such as ICAN or ANAN is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience, preferably in a humanitarian or NGO setting.
  • Proven experience in managing donor-funded projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian financial regulations, new tax law and other statutory requirements.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial management tools.
