Finance Associate

A top employer is now accepting applications for this role. - The Program Finance Associate provides strategic and operational finance support for donor-funded and internal programs, including budget management, financial analysis, and preparation of program financial reports for donors and internal stakeholders. - The role ensures compliance with donor agreements, organizational financial policies, and reporting timelines, and serves as a key finance partner to program teams. Key Responsibilities:   - Develop, monitor, and control program budgets to ensure effective and appropriate use of funds. - Prepare timely and accurate financial reports for donors and internal stakeholders in line with reporting requirements. - Ensure compliance with donor agreements, organisational financial policies, and audit standards. - Provide financial oversight and support to implementing partners and sub – grantees, including review of financial reports. - Act as a finance business partner to program teams, offering financial guidance to support informed planning and decision – making. - Support internal and external audit processes, respond to audit queries, and follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations. Required Qualifications: & Experience: - HND/ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. - A professional accounting qualification such as ACCA (or ACA). - 6 –10 years’ relevant finance experience, preferably within an NGO, international organisation, or donor -funded environment. - Demonstrated experience in program finance, donor reporting, partner/sub -grantee oversight, and audit support. - Proficient in using accounting systems for financial management and reporting. - Advanced skills for budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting.
